SONshine Box

No that’s not a typo… I really do know how to spell sunshine correctly.

This post is all about the Son!

As in Jesus Christ, the son of God.

I recently helped my mother make a care package for her oldest grandson, who is currently serving a mission for the Chirch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Since April is the month we celebrate Easter, we decided to make a sunny “Son”shine box!

I loved making this box! It is so cheery and full of beautiful reminders of the Saviors sacrifice for man.

If you too are far from a loved one or are in need of ideas for your own missionary, this box is perfect. It would even make a great Easter basket theme!

What You Need:

Flat Rate Box (Post Office)

Yellow Scrapbook Paper – 3 Pages (Hobby Lobby)

Pictures of Christ (Deseret Book)

Marker or Sharpie

Green Easter Grass (Dollar Store)

Yellow Candy and/or Toys

Our box included:

2 Bunny Ear Headbands (1 for his companion)

Juicy Fruit Gum

Yellow Sticky Notes


Mini Jenga Game

Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs


Emoji Ball

Play dough


Peanut M&M’s
