You Grow Girl!

April showers bring May flowers!

However, May has brought plenty of it’s own rain to Utah this year.

Are you getting rain?

Ministering for the month of May, I made these adorable handouts for my ministering sisters.

I was shopping recently at Joanns, when I happened upon these adorable mugs!

The saying was too cute to pass up. So I came up with this ministering gift idea.

What You Need:

Individual Growth – Russell M. Nelson

How to Make:

These mugs are sold out now unfortunately! However you could make your own mug using a silhouette machine and vinyl.

Or you can order this mug I found on Amazon!

You Grow Girl – Mug

If you don’t have a vinyl machine or don’t have the time to wait, use this tag I made.

You Grow Girl – Tag

I found a reasonable priced flower at my nearby Lowe’s, in their garden center. Each flower only cost me $2.50.

I transferred each flower directly into each mug. However, if you buy a smaller flower, you might need to add more potting soil to the mug.

Once your plant has been replanted, print the PDF tags and cut them out.

Using a toothpick and a piece of tag, attach the toothpick to the back of the tag.

Once your tag is complete, place the toothpick in the soil.

Thoughts by L:

I really loved this quote from President Russell M. Nelson.

“We are responsible for individual spiritual growth.”

Thinking a beautiful flower would make the perfect reminder of personal growth.

Like the flowers requires to be taken care of and nourished in order to grow, we have to make sure our spirits are properly maintained in order to flourish.

You Grow Girl!

Remember, you are the only one responsible for your personal growth.

Resurrection Rolls

This is a thought provoking and “sweet” Easter gift, for neighbors and friends.

What You Need:

Large Marshmallows

1 Crescent Rolls Can

Cellophane Bag

Twist Tie

Easter Grass

Clear Bread Bag

How to Make:

Put 8 large marshmallows inside your cellophane bag and use the twist tie to close. Place marshmallows inside the bread bag. Next add the can of crescent rolls. Print out the Resurrection Rolls handout, before placing it in the bag. Using another twist tie, close the bread bag.

Thoughts by L:

Easter is when we celebrate the Savior, Jesus Christ’s Resurrection from the tomb. “Death was conquered, man is free, Christ has won the victory!”

His resurrection is a great source of hope. Why not share that hope with those you love and admire! Enjoy this free Easter printable.

Bunny In a Jar

These were just too adorable to pass up!

If you are in need of Easter basket idea, a gift for a neighbor or coworker, or ministering gift, this is a simple idea.

What You Need:

Pint Mason Jar

Green Easter Grass

Chocolate Bunny

Chocolate Eggs or Jelly Beans

How to Make:

Before you start, check that your bunny will fit inside the size jar you purchase!

I bought all of my materials at the dollar store for $3, except for the jars. Which I purchased a case of 12, for $9 at Walmart. Try to find mason jars are clear glass and without a large label, so that you can actually see your bunny.

Make sure your mason jar is clean. Then add your easter grass in the bottom of the jar. Add your desired amount of chocolate eggs or jelly beans. Center your bunny inside the jar.

If you choose to, print the tag out. Trace the seal around the center of the tag, before cutting it out. Put the seal on the jar and place the tag on top. Then screw the lid on tight.

Thoughts by L:

I hope you enjoy this cute, yet simple creation! Hoppy Easter my friends!

I apologize for all the stupid puns, some bunny stop me! 🐇

This tag is a perfect to attach to a gift for your neighbor, your ministering sisters, or even a co-worker.

More Precious Than Gold

What You Need:

Green Scrapbook Paper

Paper or Cardstock

Glue stick

How To:

Using a piece of cardstock, I printed the box on. After I had the box printed and cut out, I traced the shape onto my green scrapbook paper. I purchased mine, at Hobby Lobby. They always have a great selection.

After the box is traced, I cut it out and glued the tabs down, using a glue stick. Once the box is completed, print the “More precious than gold”, tag. Use the glue stick, to glue the tag onto the center of the box.

If you choose to, also print the quote. I folded the quote and placed inside the box, before filling it with Rolo’s.

Thoughts by L:

What a wonderful message, with great importance!

Life can wear us down…. As result, we tend to forget our worth and purpose. We are all loved by others, but especially by an Eternal Being. You are more precious than gold, girl… Don’t you forget it!

Four Leaf Clover

What You Need:

Four Leaf Clover Cookie (from Great Harvest) or homemade

How To:

This is short and sweet!

Print the tag, and attach to cookie

Thoughts by L:

This was such an easy gift for friends. I actually gave it to our sweet cousin, who was willing to watch our dog. We were leaving in less than 10 hours, so to make things easy on myself. Instead of cooking something myself, I bought a four leave clover shaped cookie from Great Harvest. Their cookies are scrumptious and very fresh!

The cookie is quite large… the size of my hand, large!

All I had to do was quickly design a tag to go with it. This is a simple gift anyone can create. Whether you make your own cookies or buy them, you are ready to go with minimum work!
