Father’s Day is always a good excuse to spoil dad.
So why not get dad or your husband, what he really wants?
A candy tackle box…
An afternoon full of fishing and his favorite snacks!
“Happy Father’s Day to our Favorite Catch!”
What You Need:
Fish Themed Candy
-Goldfish, Gummy Worms, Swedish fish, etc
How to Make:
I purchased a small tackle box from Walmart, found in the fishing section. There was a wide variety of boxes to choose. This tackle box only cost $6.
Another option I considered, was the clear organizer tackle. Which was nice because you get to decide where the dividers go. Which makes it more customizable.
I wanted mine to be more of a tackle box than just an organizer. That’s why I went with the first option.
Be sure to consider the food you plan on filling the box with, when purchasing your tackle!
That way you know how many dividers you need and know that each candy will fit in it’s designated section.
Especially, if your candy is long like twizzlers or pretzel rods.
These adorable pretzel fishing rods idea, from the TipToe Fairy would be sure to make a splash at any party!
I wish I had planned more time so I could have made these. SO cute!
The next step is to collect your candy!
If you couldn’t tell from the photo, I purchased Swedish fish, sour gummy worms, goldfish, twizzlers, and gummy snakes.
Other great options would be regular gummy worms, sharks, octopuses, frogs, peach rings, life savers, etc.
Once you have collected your candy, it’s time to start organizing!
Unwrap and sort each candy into your tackle box.
Print the tag above, if desired and tape to the inside or outside of the box.
This would also make a wonderful birthday gift, as well!
I included 3 different tags for all occasions! A father’s day, birthday and generic tag, so that you can make it your own!
Thoughts by L:
Father’s play a very important role in our lives and our personal development.
May you always be thankful for the father figure in your life!
They do a lot more than we realize and we don’t thank them, as much as we should.
Be sure to show your loved one, just how much you care.
